photos of you from north scotland

These photos were taken about 10pm last night at sunset... this one, about 30% across the picture from the left is due north, and the next landfall in this direction is russia on the other side of the planet... the ocean was glass smoothe last night as you can see... and the cliffs are below silhoetted... in storms, waves crest over these cliffs!!!



This photo is of the USA, just its about 5000 miles away, and greenland and canada are in the way.. ;-)



This one is to the west, and in the distance, you can see the northwestern most point of the UK island called "cape wrath"... along the coastline is "west"... as this coastline is north facing.



Another shot of that sunset... i wish digital cameras had hasselblad resolution.

This is the first time i've got the camerica hooked up.. :-)... a small victory... i hope you enjoy the photo's of scotland's coastline.

I love Scotland, although I've really only spent time in Edinburgh and Stirling - the scenery around Stirling is so beautiful.

Now that this text is successful, i can make a good photoessay of the flow country of the north highlands... Next time you're up in edinburgh/sterling zone, just go west/north... the light and lucid purity of the west highlands are one of the great wonders of the earth.

I have to go there again sometime. Maybe when the pound gets (even) cheaper or if the UK joins the Eurozone.
The last time the streets were a bit narrow though.
