Ouch Sunny, let me help you pull your foot out of your mouth on this one. Maybe YOU should be doing a little bit more research and stop using YOUR source. I never watch Fox News. I am pretty sure I do more research for news on any given day than you do. Lets take the National Guard for example. They do not get 100% coverage because they are not active duty. Please point out for me where in my post I said anything abouy the National Guard. I was in the Navy for 81/2 and let me tell you this fact, active duty people have 100% of their medical expenses covered, thats a fact, not a myth. I can not speak for the Guard because I have never been a member but I think I am safe in saying that as long as they are on active duty, they are covered just the same. I can say this based on the fact that I have been there. Can you say the same or are you just taking the word of a friend who may not know everything related to the subject? Have you ever been in the service? I didnt think so. Now lets talk about Halliburton. Let me once again point out how you are wrong (chalk another one up to your "sources"). How much do you know about these so called no bid contracts? Let me answer that one for you. You dont!!!! These so called no bid contracts are the same existing contract that Halliburton is working under in the Baltics. It is nothing new. Halliburton is contracted to the US millitary to give logistical support to the troops. This includes the transportation of oil. You talk about the price Halliburton is charging the Military to transport that oil, how much are they charging to store the oil or how much are they charging for the equipment or the people used to transport that oil? I can tell you, NOTHING because it is included in the price that you quoted. The number you even gave isnt even accurate, its around $1.85 that they are charging the government. That includes transportation, storage and other logistical means. They charge Iraq less because Iraq has its own facilities, so Halliburton does not have to refine it or store it, just transport, the US does not. Do you expect them to do it for free because they are a US based company? Of course not, they run a business and have 100,000 workers as well as stock holders to answer to and contrary to your comment, "the rest of the world" isnt being supplied the oil by Halliburton. Your comments really do sound like the same junk that CNN, CBS, NBC, and ABC say but yet you keep pointing to this whatreallyhapened.com web site. I have done a little bit of research about this belowved site of yours. Do you know who it is owned by? I didnt think so. I would tell you but I think you should do the research on your own. Lets just say that they may have a reason to shed doubt on anything related to the US. This is the last site I would trust for news, not to mention, I dont think I would take the word about US policies or intelligence from a foriegn news source that supports terrorism (IMO). I also dont think I would take the word of someone who refers to a flag waving American as an idiot. As far as the web sites are concerned, how do you know that what they say is right? Can you just give me one shred that anything they have to say can be backed up with some type of proof, other than another news source? By the way, Bush declared victory back in May?? Where did you get this piece at? He declared and end to the major fighting, not the war. There was a real threat from Saddam byt he way. Have you heard any of the interviews from the Iraqi Scientists? do you recall the Nuclear/Bio weapons construction material found in those peoples back yards? How about when they said that Saddam was waiting for this to be over so he could get back to making WMD? This coming from his own people. Those very people that lived in fear of him for decades. Yes I am a republican, and a proud one but when my party screws up, I can call it. I do not agree with everything Bush has done and there were some things that Clinton did that I agreed with. I do not have blind faith in my party. I think it takes all parties to run this country. *And finally, I am a proud Halliburton employee.* I think I just might know a little bit more than you about the contracts that Halliburton has. I am also in a position to see this proof where you are not. I am privy to classified records that back up my comments. I did not get them from some backwater web site whose only purpose is to bring confusion about my government and the troops that are risking their lives for something I and many other people believe in. Let me also bring up the point that there are Halliburton employees over there by choice, they were not forced to go over there. Some of these employees, my fellow coworkers, have lost their lives. I take a great deal of offense to your blithering comments about the company I work for when you dont even have anything of your own merit to add. Your comments are the same ones made by the same sources you quote so it isnt as if you are putting your own twist to it. "Dont believe the liberal media lie? I think you meant to say conservative based on the next sentence you gave. Further proof that you have no idea what you are talking about. If YOU need anymore info, let me know and we'll talk but dont make assumptions or statements that you cant back up or prove. I urge you to voice your own opinion, not those of people that have no idea what they are talking about. Nothing you said was new, all the major media outlets say the same thing you do, even the Fox company that you so overwhelmingly appear to hate. I do not pay much attention to the news because most times they arent telling the whole story. I do my own research and dont waste time on trivial web sites like the ones you are pushing off on people.
Any suggestions on a retort? Duckie
