I hate when you order Chinese food and

you ask for certain things to be left out but they are not. For instance, tonight I ordered my favorite shrimp lo mein. The place near me does a wonderful job, but they add shredded celery. I find this addition disgusting and I always ask for it to be omitted. Sometimes, this request is forgotten. It spoils my whole meal, I hate celery. Anyone have a similar experience?

For some reason, even a few green onions will have a really bad effect on me, so I'm always having to order things without them, and about half the time I end up picking the damn things out of the salad or the egg drop soup.

3. I have this problem.

I am allergic to any onion that's not dehydrated (or the sulphur in it, to be more precise). If I order fried rice, for example, I always ask for the veggies to be left out. If they don't, I can't eat it. :(

... I have not figured out a way to remove them without getting my fingers messy, especially when they are in curry dishes. (Damn, now I am craving some Thai Curry) (Road trip coming up)

Anybody know the story on this? I can't recall whether for sure it was cancer, but apparently these cheap shrimp that are everywhere now are imported from Asia and they are fed some chemical that isn't safe.

Can someone elaborate?

7. Well I can't very well use chicken in my Thai-Curry!!!

Hmmm had not heard about that....gonna have to stick to vegetarian curry dishes now, fortunately the East and West Cafe is very accommodating. (and highly recommended, shameless plug)
