I was reading Frank Zappa's online book where he talks about jailhouse poetry on the wall during his imprisonment and he speaks of the Legend of Do-Do Mite. Somebody I know that is a good customer of the slammer asked me to try to find it as he had read it before during one of his stays.
Unfortunately, Google results produce only a dead end, except for the online book that I used for the spelling in the search for the exact phrase "The Legend of Do-Do Mite."
I got the term and spelling from an oline book by Zappa and it is "The Legend of Do-Do Mite." Zappa called it jailhouse poetry as it was written on the wall of his cell.
It could well be that the poetry comes from the movies you mentioned. I am trying to figure it out. Thanks for giving me a direction to search.
