The greatest band ever to come out of my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and one of the greatest bands ever.

"30 Seconds Over Tokyo" was their debut single in 1975, and is still one of the most incredible, chaotic slices of avant-punk ever released; a true masterpiece.

No band ever laid down the soundtrack for the decaying rustbelt scenery of Clevo in the 70's than Pere Ubu; they'll always be one of my favorite bands of all-time..

3. I got to meet Peter Laughner twice

through my big brother; saw him play w/ his band Friction (after he left Pere Ubu) at an outdoor show about a year befor he died. The guy is still a God to me; I miss him..

Remember the WHK Auditorium? I saww Pere Ubu play there in 1976 and it was a life-changing experience for me; saved my musical soul..
