20. Or once they get rid of all the little kids.
I'd smack that one little girl if she were my kid. She's a snotty little brat.

23. I have cable.
I only have it because they air my daughter's school programs on there(small town, local access).

3. you mean between you and me
you to 10,000 and me to 4,000. It is not very amazing, and probably not much of a race. Early Edition is on, if you get channel 50.

15. I guess they joined the war on Tara, no more Pax
now it is all about me, myself and I. Actually it has become my evening station with Doc, Diagnosis Murder, and Early Edition on Monday through Friday. Re-runs are about the only way to escape one of the accursed "reality" shows or Lost. Tuesday and Wednesday are my days off, except I normally work evenings. I bought two DVDs today too. Ah, I wish I had more days off.

18. I only watch a couple of reality shows.
Namely Amazing Race and Survivor. I admit that I did get hooked on Lost.
And more days off would be fantastic!

8. I usually like it, but hate the family aspect.
I don't think I'll watch it. I hate the idea of kids participating in reality television game shows. Though I love the Amazing Race, it was not pleasant to see the poor kids being kicked off.

If I want to see unpleasant things involving children, I'd watch Nanny 911.

9. I'm glad it's not all kids.
Makes me wish I had talked my family into it.
My brother is a long-haired athiest, one of my cousins is a *-hating punk who makes sure that everyone knows how he feels about politics, another cousin is a punk w/ a multicolored mohawk and then there is me. I have a fascination w/ all black and have no problems w/ telling people off when they deserve it.
A friend pointed out w/ a team like that we probably would have been chosen.

24. It's like playing sports. You can win or lose.
The kids aspect is interesting. They are in good shape so running is not a problem but physical things, like building that shed or pulling the cart, or lifting injured soldiers in the Civil War event is a disadvantage.

Living here in NOVA, it was interesting to watch them get from DC to Middleburg. They just showed a little of the beltway traffic but they must have been in tieups for a couple hours. Middleburg is just 5 miles from where I live but it seems they don't publicize the Amazing Race route, since I haven't heard anything about it.

11. I *love* Amazing Race!
It's one of the less skeevy reality-game shows.

Haven't gotten to watch, sad to hear if they are limiting international travel, but I can imagine it's stressful.

My favorite was the season where they had to go to Africa, then zipline across a gorge, then bungee-swing down into it. The reactions ran the gamut from excited fear, scared fear, crying, rationalizing, and one housewife who jumped off the launch point going "HELLYEAH!"

It looks like the most adrenaline-filled highspeed vacation ever, and it's great!

I also enjoy TRAVEL SICK which was a Comedy Central show where a stalwart man from down-under goes to a random place and has to endure some of the most frightening reality-gameshow tasks ever. I like it because they don't foist "scorpion footraces through underclothes" on some random contestant.

Used to watch it every week. And it was even funnier when he failed his tasks.

from the highest tower in South America whilst competing with a drag-queen to apply makeup.

19. Yep.
They seem to be stateside this season. Maybe it's because of the size of the teams.
