So I go to the liquor store tonight...
... with a friend and I am in the mood to drink some whiskey. Not being a big whiskey gourmet I usually choose between Jack Daniels, Crown, Makers Mark, or Jim Beam. So I was about to buy a fifth of Jack Daniels for $22 when on my way to the counter I see that I can get a half Gallon of Jim Beam for $23. Immediately I put down the Jack Daniels and buy the Jim Beam.

I thought I made a smart, thrifty move.

Well for the rest of the night I hear from my friend about what a cheap-ass I am.

Does That make me sound cheap?

1. sounds fine to me
since Beam is among the list of usuals for you.

Myself, I've had other whiskeys, but I always come back to Jack. It's not the smoothest of whiskeys, but it's the one I like best.

If I were you, I'd have sent the friend home with no whiskey at all. "Cheap-ass" indeed. What whiskey did he buy?

2. He just drank mine and bitched.
Eventually I did tell him to STFU or I would cut him off. I could tell he still wanted to bitch though.

5. Ummm...NO.
You're not cheap! If you can get so much more for only a dollar more, that just makes good sense! Tell your "friend" to STFU!

6. You cheap bastid!
You should have bought the Jack or some George Dickall! I live about five miles from The Dickall distillery and about 20 from the Jack facility. I would like to see you support my neighbors!
