It's like Fitzmas, Hannahukkah, and Neoconzaa all rolled into one!

"Fitzmas" is a great pun, but it doesn't completely capture the nature of the events unfolding before us. In the spirit of multi-culturalism, I propose the following three-part nomenclature for this year's very special holiday season:


1. Hannahukkah

The prolonged and less exciting precursor to Fitzmas. Every day brings a small gift, like the report that Cheney aide John Hannah is cooperating with Fitzgerald. This period is frequently accompanied by games and diversions, such as White House surrogates spinning as madly as dreidels.


2. Fitzmas

I-Day! The big enchilada. You've already shaken the gifts in an attempt to guess their contents: obstruction? perjury? dare you dream, espionage? On Fitzmas, the wrapping paper comes off!


3. Neoconzaa

The aftermath. The mysterious, oft-forgotten cousin of Hannahukkah and Fitzmas. Celebrate our culture of justice with your loved ones as neocons rat each other out, resign in disgrace, and/or take the fall.
