Click on Index and type in Recycle Bin. There are a couple of them so double click on the one for removal. That may do it.

I've always wondered about Linux. I've heard it is VERY stable and everything. I just wish there was more software compatible with it.

51. All depends on what software you talk about...

There are commercial projects that run on Linux that allow some Windows programs to operate like Crossover Office. However, If you just wanted the "standard" stuff, like Web browser, E-Mail, Word Processor, a few puzzle and card games, all of that comes with distributions like Ubuntu, and it installs in less time than Windows too!

Some of the software is NOT exact, obviously, but it does the job just as well, if not better. I use Open office, a good and free replacement for Microsoft Office, and it even saves in PDF format. Speaking of that, you can get Java, Macromedia Flash, and Acrobat Reader for linux as well. Just go on the web like with Windows and get them.

The biggest weakness in Linux is gaming, there simply aren't enough games for the platform. However, that is slowly changing, a couple of quick examples are Neverwinter Nights, an RPG, and DOOM 3, both are run natively on Linux, with no more problems than the Windows version. Granted, for Neverwinter Nights, you have to download the program patch for Linux versions from their website, for the original version, the expansions have them on CD. For Doom 3, its on the original CDs.

Linux is slowly but surely becoming ready for the desktop, in fact, the distribution I have is actually EASIER to set up on my computer than Windows was. For one, it actually had the proper driver for my sound card, while I had to search the web for the Windows Driver, and two, its actually easier to setup my Nvidia card as well. It does take far less time as well.
