Any guilty pleasure Christmas shows you watch annually?
Here's mine, that Rankin-Bass classic.

And here's one I don't feel quite so guilty about.

It's got k.d. lang, Oprah, Grace Jones, Frankie and Annette, Dinah Shore, Little Richard, Cher, Magic Johnson, Zsa Zsa, Whoopi, and the Del Rubio Triplets!

2. "The Ref". Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis and Dennis Leary.

Incredibly funny.

It was Spacey doing Lester Burnham before he did Lester Burnham.

4. I've always kinda wanted to see that one.
I like Denis Leary (his TV series notwithstanding).

I saw him in Double Whammy with Elisabeth Hurley about a year ago. Not his best, I'm sure, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.

5. Do it. You won't regret it.
Leary isn't the main attraction, but he's very funny in this role.

9. A Charlie Brown Christmas.
I've seen it at least 30 times, but I can't help it. I have to watch.

"Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown."

I also love Pee Wee's Christmas Special. My favorites are Miss Yvonne and Puppet Land. The Del Rubio Triplets are a hoot. Where did he ever find them? :)

10. Every Christmas Eve....I push in a video...
of the '51 version of A Christmas Carol. It MUST be the Alistair Simm version. I wrap my kid's gifts and cry like a BABY.
My dad and I used to watch this movie every X-Mas, he'd look for it.
There are three scenes that choke me up:
1) Ebenezer left at school
2) The Death of Fanny
3) Ebenezer's entrance to his nephew's party. "Oh, Uncle, you've made Fred so very happy!" Sob!

Edited on Wed Nov-23-05 11:42 PM by Left Is Write
I watch them and don't feel guilty at all!

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town. The Year Without A Santa Claus. Rudolph's Shiny New Year. A Charlie Brown Christmas. Christmas Vacation. Elf. A Christmas Story. The Santa Clause. Frosty The Snowman. A Christmas Carol. It's A Wonderful Life. Miracle On 34th Street.

I love them! I have some lesser known fun stuff on DVD too: Happy Holidays From Bing And Frank, TV Guide Looks At Christmas, an Ed Sullivan holiday special, a Sonny & Cher holiday special, and a few others.
