What "anomolous phenomena" do you believe are real?
I was looking on wikipedia at some stuff on the supernatural side (not for the first time). Among these were "shadow people" (evidently different from ghosts, which I also don't believe in), "Mothman" (who I think was probably an owl), the "Dover Demon" (I don't know what the heck that was!) and the "Jersey Devil".

I'm always interested in these things at the pop-cultural level, but I doubt there are any hard facts behind them. However, the one thing similar thing that seems credible to me is "El Chupacabra", because it's not entirely impossible that some carnivorous, undiscovered animal lives in the deep jungle. I mean, that's a good place to remain undiscovered, right? We identify new species all the time. Admittedly, most of them are nothing remarkable, like a new bug or something. But out of all these, is it that far-fetched that one of them is a carnivorous animal that attacks livestock? Think of the dingo with better places to hide.

Are there any of these or similar anomalies that most people discredit but that you believe are real?

3. I read the 'Mothman Prophecies'
Seems a little hard to swallow. Perhaps somebody slipped LSD into the towns water supply.

6. The article I read suggested
that it was a giant horned owl, of which only a few have ever been documented in West Virginia (it is the official bird of Alberta, apparently). It's appearance and rather large size could have produced the description when viewed from a distance and in poor lighting conditions. In addition, the fact that it probably only flew that far south for a few months would fit in with the fact that it was seen only in one area and only for a brief period of time.
