Okay, if what they are showing on NBC during the parade

That art form is seriously in trouble...

Lip syncing kids, over produced and lame dance routines, lip syncing by the "star", over blown "fun" appeal added...

Jezzzz... Save your 150.00 bucks Mr. and MRs. America.... The revival of Sweet Charity staring Christina Applegate is, tragically, reprised without the underlying sexuality needed to charge this production...

And the NBC Today show team really sucks...

This, as I desperately tried to extract myself from the onslaught of sugary warmed over pap that passes for running "commentary"...

I replied, if the writers from the New Yorker were providing the commentary, I would pay to listen....

12. Totally agree. I always seem to "forget" that a parade is coming

on on Thanksgiving Day...I enjoy the Rose Parade much much more. For one thing you get to actually see the marching bands on TV. (My personal favorite part of parades)..and the Rose Parade floats are just works of art.

I have been trying to remember if all this Broadway hype was part of the Macy's parade back in the 1950's when it first began to be televised across the country....anyone else remember? I am thinking it was not there in the earlier days, but it WAS a long time ago.

Seems that I have this vague memory of turning it on when I was maybe in my '20 's and wondering where all this extra "entertainment" stuff came from...or maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part.
