4. Well, I can't really pick just one, but here's something:
My 25th birthday was pretty good (May 14, 2004). I spent the whole day comfortably numb on migraine pills, and my mother took me shopping at one of my favorite bookstores, which was in a city 100 miles away from my house. This was, of course, six months before the destruction of NPR, so there was honest and exciting discussion of the campaign on in the car, and I got to think nice things about John Kerry for a while. We had junk food for dinner, and then we bought some cool used and rare books. So, basically, no stress, no pain, hope and intellectual stimulation. Great fun.

6. My first sunset in Venice
A June evening with the smell of jasmine everywhere, a table at an isolated trattoria at the foot of the Rialto bridge, a bottle of pinot grigot, a plate of tuna tartare w/tomato and mozzarella, and a perfect sunset which turned every building on the Grand Canal gold.

Having my S.O. there would have made it better, but on the other hand, my clients were footing the entire bill for the trip, which doesn't suck (we were in town interviewing doctors who were at a small convention for an obscure disease)

7. How can I pick just one?
Wedding day and the days our two kids were born are big stand outs
other REALLY good days have been
Vacation days in Costa Rica and Virgin Islands with my wife.
Day I climbed Mt Ranier.
The day of the last climbing competition I went to.
Family vacation days in Paris and London.
Numerous days spent with my wife and kids.
There are just too many to choose from.
