It took me FOREVER to get home
First snow storm of the year. grrrr

Roads are a mess. Traffic was INTENSE.

I kept going back and forth between Ed Schultz and Randi. They were both talking about Iraq. Then they talked about Hastert wanting to delay Congress in January so DeLay can settle his legal problems. And between that and the traffic, I was so pissed off by the time I got home.

Plus this was my first snow driving without my beloved 4 wheel drive car. And my new car isn't so great in the snow.

I hate snow! And I hate Republicans too.

8. This works for me.
Sitting comfortably, see yourself in the middle of perfectly formed, comfortably large circle. Give yourself whatever time you want for it to fill with peace. You can increase this by normally it breathing in and out. After you've done this for, say, a minute or so, see the circle filling with gentle, flaming gold. Breathe that in and out for awhile. Any movement you get is a sign that you're processing what you're holding. Duration helps as does frequency. A minute or so is all you need to do at any one time unless you want to do more. After awhile, you can do this anywhere.

11. Proud, we already have at least 6" just by looking at my
back fence and it's supposed to keep coming thru morning. I got home around 2:30 PM and it was miserable to slip slide all the way. At least all the schools are closed tomorrow. I've got a nice fire roaring and I'm kind of enjoying it now.

Glad to hear you made it home safely.

12. ALL the schools are closed?
I haven't turned on the news or checked online for school closings yet.

Hip hip hooray. Wow 6" is a lot of snow for December.

So the roads west were bad too? My commute is usually 30 minutes; it was 2 hours today. What a mess. I must have seen at least a dozen accidents. I decided to come through town instead of taking the highway. But I am glad I did that. My husband took I35 and it took him over an hour just to get out of downtown.

A fire sounds nice. We had decided to not use the fireplace this year as it just kills our heating bill. But tonight I am very tempted to light a fire.

14. The TV scroll says Center, Blue Springs, KCMO, Desoto, Eudora
Grandview, KCK, Olathe, SMSD etc.

Sounds like all are closed. You'll have a snow day!

16. First good snowstorm of the year always sucks
People forget how to drive, too many people think they're driving on sunshine and dry pavement. Marshmallow isn't home yet she's getting a tire put on, she blew one out the other day and I put her temporary on.
That was monday and finally today she's had to take the time to get it replaced, probably won't make it home until ten o'clock, and the snow is going to pile up, at least she won't be in that mess you were in.
I watched the news tonight all the hyways were backed up parking lots, and salt won't work because it's too cold.
