9. I disagree.
I've never been a fan of ODB (his line was the one I quoted), but that track and the album that it came off of, are both amazing.

But to each his own.

19. That Orphan might be brandishing a collectible JA Henckels razor!
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 02:07 PM by pinniped
Make sure you clean the blood off, it might rust and reduce the value.

Poor Orphans, not even in the network, reduced to setting train-track fires and carrying a newspaper clipping about their raids.

27. I have no idea either, selling on ePay is all about timing.
I found a couple interesting webpages with razor info and books.

There seems to be a plethora of books available.

20. You think YOUR liking it is weird? I just read...
...an article about The Warriors on salon.com that said Ronald Reagan was a fan of this movie.

"Scorned and reviled by the mainstream media upon its release, "The Warriors" picked up such unlikely fans as Pauline Kael (whose rave review in the New Yorker stunned the magazine's more genteel-minded readers) and, a few months after its release, President Ronald Reagan (who phoned the film's lead actor, Michael Beck, to tell him that he had screened the movie at Camp David and enjoyed it immensely)."

whole article here (watch brief ad for free daypass): http://www.salon.com/ent/movies/feature/2005/11/28/warriors/index.html

...and a remake (this time set in Los Angeles, so no subway, I guess) is in the works for next year.

SACRILEGE!!!

I remember when that flick first came out. After numerous acts of violence, the city of Boston banned the movie form being shown again.

29. I remember all the reports of violence connected to screenings of
"The Warriors" when it was first released. I saw it a few years later, and was amazed by it. It is a tremendous piece of American cinematic surrealism. The Baseball Furies reminded me of the droogies from "A Clockwork Orange", and the female DJ, with that voice and those huge sensuous lips, seemed the embodiment of evil. I remember thinking at the time that although we couldn't see her whole face, that she must be horrifyingly ugly. How was I to know then that it was the lovely Lynne Thigpen?

I felt so bad when she died. Anyway, she was one of the best things about that flick.
