3. This issue is just killing me.

I can't believe some of the people that are jumping on this band wagon. Another blog that I'm on (it's gay mens thang ..... that's as much as I'll say) .... I can't believe some of thing these guys are saying. If it weren't for the purdy pictures, I'd dump that group.

I'll agree that some of people go too far ...... I read where some schools are changing their "Christmas Programs" to "Winter Programs" which is fine. But one went so far to change the words to "Silent Night". That's just pain stupid.

When I was in grammar school and in chorus, we sang traditional Christmas songs ... Jingle Bells ... Frosty .... and those types. Plus the Christian ones like "Silent Night" "O Come All Ye Faithful" in English AND LATIN thank you very much ... PLUS we sang Hanukkah songs .... some IN HEBREW!!! and let me tell you ... I worked that stage when we sang in Hebrew & Latin. I thought I was hot shit, cuz I was singing in another language.

I can see both sides of this issue, because (and I hate the word) ... political correctness is taken too far. But this isn't the earth shattering issue the RW is making this out to be.

As a non-practicing Christian, around this time of year I would usually end up covering for the devout folks in my workplace who are gone from Dec 23rd to Jan 2nd. Let's just say that after more than 2 weeks of my being "on call" in a medical capacity, prepping course material for the first week of January, and coming in at 6 AM and late at night to feed the animals and administer medication to the ailing ones ... plus having to get up from dinner with my family and come in for an emergency since everyone else was "too busy" -- NOBODY dared tell me that they were taking anything OTHER than "holidays" (plural). Otherwise, they would be here with me!
