Do you know someone who became suddenly wealthy?
Someone who maybe won a lottery or cashed in on some unexpected windfall in business?

How did they handle it? Did they change in huge ways? Did they hold on to the money or lose it?

1. In my business a lot of guys become suddenly wealthy
One guy bought a new Jag, developed a coke habit, crashed said Jag and was out of business in 15 months. Went bankrupt.

Another guy decided to get a condo and not tell his wife. Plus the bimbo to stay in the condo. His wife found out and dumped him. Which was a shame because his wife and kids were real nice.

However I will say the majority of the folks stay the same but with better vacations. Money does not change your basic character.

5. Yeah, that would explain it.
I guess you see quite a bit of "instant wealth."

I'm quite sure that many people are destroyed by it. Everyone, or most people at least, of course, would like to try their hands at the matter, but I would imagine that modesty and reserve are the best strategy there is.

7. I forget, unfortunately.
it was some sort of game where you had to determine a word phrase that had missing letters. I do, however, his winning phrase: "By hook or by crook"

Funny, huh?

You should look into the game show thing, if you're seriously interested. I bet it would be fun. I've seen your pix on the pix threads. You'd be a hit, I'm sure. Attractive, smart.... Hell, anybody who is on DU is smart, right? :)

Have a great day, bigwillq! :hi:
