Kitty survives being pitched into icy river
Poor kitty. Who would do this? I'm glad she was saved. And it doesn't look like a calico to me - looks like a tortoiseshell.

1. Grrrrrr, I wanna toss the jackass that did this into the East River
That is one pretty little kitty. At least she has a much better home now.

2. "Bless the Beasts and the Children"
Bless the beasts and the children
For in this world they have no voice
They have no choice.

Bless the beasts and the children
For this world can never be
The world they see...

Light their way
When the darkness surrounds them
Give them love
Let it shine all around them.

Bless the beasts and the children
Give them shelter from the storm
Keep them safe
Keep them warm.

3. This was once a common way to dispose of unwanted cats
Especially kittens -- bag'em and toss them off a bridge. As to what type of person would do this, a cruel one would be my guess since these days there are shelters who will take the cats off your hands if you can no longer keep them. It may have been revenge --the cat may be the treasured pet of an ex, for example.

I'm glad the cat was rescued.
