Just updated to an Optical Mouse - where have I been all these
years? This is great. I got a Mx310 Logitech*

I'm enthralled.

1. Where have you been? Probably cleaning that little mf'ing rubber...
...ball while the rest of us were at Best-Buy, CompUSA, or Fry's getting an optical mouse. Yes, I agree, they're the cats meow. Unfortunately, being the "early adopter" that I am, I paid about 4 times as much for mine as you did yours.

16. I paid way too much, but that was in early 99 when they first came out...
...I think I paid about 85.00, give or take.

3. Now get the keyboard as well
and always keep batteries on hand. The only trouble I have with mine is I lose the cursor every now and then.

6. What do you mean by batteries? Where would the batteries go?
I'm ignorant.

7. If it's not a wireless optical mouse, there is no need for batteries.
It draws power from the PC. Wireless mice require a battery.

11. Yeah me too
I think I need to replace mine though. I have had it a year and it messes up all the time now. So I am shopping for a new one.

10. I would probably lose my mouse
and even my keyboard if they weren't attached to the computer somehow.

13. I prefer a ball mouse.
More accurate and responsive. With an optical, I often get a bit of lag.
