My sister cracks me up! Read what she had to say . . .
. . . in thanks for her birthday gift: a new set of very nice pots & pans:

"i am thrilled with them. thrilled, i tell you. if i wasn't so wiped out, i woulda cooked all night! as it was, i didn't even unpack them beyond the first pan and lid or two, but they are beautiful. gorgeous. magical. i think i heard a choir of angels as the box was opened. i've explained to the kids what kind of cookware we need, and the first thing they did was check the bottoms and when they saw the amazing beauty there, they fell to their knees and wept with joy. the boy was stroking the amazingly smooth inside of one pot in a loving trance. as i was getting ready for work this morning, i thought it was strange that the sun was so bright at 4am. i was drawn to the light coming from the living room, and as i drew near, i realized that the warm, heavenly glow was actually pouring from that miraculous box near the front door. you must understand that my life will never be the same... i am a changed woman."

choir of angels

3. Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless
from cooking.com

My sister has an electric stove. Couldn't be helped. She finds it impossible to regulate cooking temps, so she needed heavy-bottomed pans or something.... I don't know how it works but she got exactly what she needed. :7

Isn't she a hoot?!

4. Excellent choice!
the pans have an extra thick bottom that holds in the heat, so you dont have to worry about the electric stove turning on and off.

6. I've looked at those, the Emerilware stainless ones, and the Costco
brand "Kirkland" stainless. I think I'm going to end up getting the Costco ones (very highly rated by Consumer Reports).

8. Ohhh...those sound nice.
I am considering the Costco brand as well, since they are a good value, but Cuisinart is nice stuff.
