I missed the first of the new series the other night, and I'm hoping this one is a repeat. I don't know if you have the same trailers as we do, though I suppose you do.
The one they showed for the new series was headed, "The boys are back in town!" and showed Shatner and Spader wearing shades (which were obviously meant to be very flash), strutting down the street, and two young women with arms full of groceries, halting incredulousy in front of the unyielding barrier they made, then walking round them!!!! Hilarious...if infinitely asinine! Well, all the more so for being infinitely asinine, I suppose.
If you get the chance to see a series called Foyle's War, set during WWII, don't miss it.
Just heard a comical line addressed to an American officer by Foyle I suspect, "I must say the girls round here have a bit of a spring in their step since you arrived".
Foyle's driver is played by a girl, good-looking in a distinctive kind of way, called Honeysuckle Weekes. When the series started she'd be chatting to him like a Dutch uncle, as she was driving, while he kept trying somewhat pompously to explain to her that really she should only really presume to speak to him, when she was spoken to by him. She took not the slightest bit of notice, but before long, he resigned himself happily to acting her help in all sorts of situations.
