Is it wrong to love the Golden Girls?
And get your minds out of the gutter!

Blanche is my fave... so is Rose... but so is Dorothy... ditto for Sophia. I just can't put one on top of the other!

1. Good Lord! I can't fathom putting one on top of the other! Ew!
Yeah, they were all great. So sad about Estelle Getty. Betty White turned 84 today.

20. I'll answer my own question
Ms Getty has "Lewy Body Dementia"

http://www.estellegetty.com/faq.html

Estelle has been living with what was believed to be Parkinson's disease for more than ten years. Her doctors have now diagnosed her condition as Lewy Body Dementia. Each day presents a different struggle for her. Three main symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia are:

1. Fluctuating alertness and/or cognition
2. Recurrent visual hallucinations
3. Parkinson's Disease symptoms.

..., then no, that's not OK!

27. Me too
I have lots of DW on tape including the infamous Nightmare from Hee Haw.

Sophia is my favorite Golden Girl. But I like Dorothy's sarcasm too.

14. Of course not.
Lots of times I go to bed fairly early and watch The Match Game on GSN. If I'm still awake at 10pm mountain time, I watch The Golden Girls on Lifetime.

22. The Golden Girls are still cool, IMO.
Screw all these hip young sitcoms and dramas. I miss the era when television catered to every age group.

26. The Golden Girls saved my friend's life.
He was suffering from major depression, and wouldn't even leave his room for about a year or so (he was in the closet at the time). The only thing that helped him through was the Golden Girls - so much so that if we are watching it, we can quote a line from the show and he can name which episode it is from.
