Nice to see that the writers are now delving into characters more.

Can I say at this point it's going to be difficult for me to watch Bill Paxton in anything after this?

1. Has Bill Paxton ever done a movie love scene before
and damn, why hasn't he. He's adorable. I'd be his 4th wife

4. Why not?
He's a better choice than some of the idiots in my town.

5. I watched again and am still up in the air.
I can't get over how flat out insane these people are.

6. I was really surprised that the writers are actually going for it
>I can't get over how flat out insane these people are.<

7. All of them are nutters.
The women, the men, the kids and then you have the compound people who make these insaniacs look nearly normal. It's really quite a bizarre way of living.

8. I have a serious problem with him having sex with all three women....
but if they are for it, and he's for it, who am I to say anything, LOL. This show is really testing my liberalness, because I wanted to slap him silly every time I remembered he's like a pig in mud with his three doting women who schedule time with him like he's a god or something. But they like it, so whatever.

And he and Jeanne Tripplehorn are such a cute/complementary pair--on her behalf I feel like telling those other two hoochies to step off!

The scene where he went in and talked to Margie and said this family wasn't complete until you came, etc....that whole speech sounded hollow because meanwhile he's going to sleep with Nicky that night. But I do see things worth watching in the show, so there's that.

Does his father have more than one wife too?

9. i think they sort of implied that his dad had other wives/ kids
because he bitched that the dad never gave him his name. and they threw him outta town as a teen (dad said the old men get all the pretty girls) that town (pine ??) sounds like it's the whole community- possibly based on the one in that book, banner of heaven. sp, that could be cool.
i'm finding paxton and his whiney wives a big yawn.

10. I figured as much, but they never show/talk about the other wives...
Of course, LOL, I mean in the whole one episode I saw all the way through!

It's not the most engrossing show in the world, but I'll watch it a few more times before deciding if I want to keep missing Grey's Anatomy for it....which I shouldn't anyway, I keep forgetting I can catch the repeat some other time because it's not network.

11. i'm guessing they'll be more of that town, what with chloe's family
his family, there should be lots more relatives coming out of the woodwork. i hope so.
the only character that i thought was facinating was that 12 year old girl married to 'the phrophet' ... she seemed like a demon seed.
the wives are just always bitching about $ and him. that's some boring shit.
under the banner of heaven was an amazing book, so i keep hoping.
