Flight 93: The Movie

anybody heard anything about this? Apparently it's already quite controversial, but I haven't heard why, exactly. Is it a BushCo propaganda film?

1. No one really knows what happened on the plane

so its all just conjecture. Its just the studio trying to pass off as "fact" something that they have no clue about.

though I haven't seen enough to know if they're passing it off as fact. It is a movie, after all, not a documentary.

But basically I was wondering if anyone knew if it's all propaganda or if they tried to balance out the story a bit.

2. the preview is banned in NYC

and I see why. i think it's sad that someone is planning on making money by turning a nation tragedy into a movie.

I've seen the previews and ugh...but it doesn't really give a good idea regarding what angle they're taking politically. In other words, are they playing up the heroic patriot crap Bush-style?

5. Didn't they already do a TV movie about flight 93?

I thought there was one a few years ago. I think it's in pretty bad taste to make entertainment out an event that is that recent and raw. :(

7. somehow they got all the families (or most) to sign off on it, and some of

them are appearing in the promo "making of flight 93" .
so i imagine it's casting everyone in a heroic light, because that's what people want to see.
i saw the promo a week and a half ago, it looked kinda boring, to be honest.
