My Mrs. is her mom's financial power of attorney. Her mom is living in the nursing home that I used to work at. Wifey spent the last couple of weeks worried that,after doing the math on her mom's taxes, that she would owe the Thugs $3,000.

Thank god for CPA's: to be on the safe side, Mrs. took her mom's paperwork over to H&R and lo and behold, the Man now owes my mother in law money. Here's something I didn't know: nursing home stays can be counted as a MEDICAL EXPENSE. Funny how the IRS didn't make that info available, doncha think? Especially when they are encouraging you to file online? "File your taxes online, make it easier and quicker for us to rip you off."

Yeah, I'm a bit pissed. I'm sick and tired of assholes victimizing the elderly.
