8. I was just kiddin'
but thanks for the offer.
I finished my grandma's taxes this morning... she owes $650
I hate to give her bad news.
I think I'll advise her to pay, file an extension and have a professional review it -

(She knew she was going to have to pay - she cashed in some annuities and they advised her that she would have to pay taxes when she cashed them in)

20. she's 92 - not disabled with a Dr. slip
my aunt on the other side does taxes for a living - I saw her today at Easter Dinner - she told me to go ahead and file the extension and bring the stuff over and she would check it.

My grandma actually took the news really well - she just said, well, I didn't pay any taxes, so I figured I would owe. She is so sweet, she made sure to give me a stamp to send the paperwork in.

7. Jeez Chris
That one sounds like a monster. Do you have many more to do or are the rest going extensions? I have one extension to send out and my daughter needs to sign her returns so I can mail them. She's getting - are you sitting down - $2 back from the Feds. Where's that fainting smilie??

Glad you've just about survived another one and here's a  for you!

10. OMG! Ours are so much shorter in Canada
The basic one is 4 pages. Then you may need to add a few more forms, but I can't imagine one that long.

12. Before I bought a house, I had a one-page form.
As it is now, there is one page, front and back, with an attachment. I don't have state tax so my taxes are relatively simple.

19. Yeah the "convenient" software can be a bit too convenient at times...
Our return was fairly complex... at least 20 pages or so... but we've used that program for the last few years and it has made a night-and-day difference in getting our taxes done in time.

Good luck! :hi:

I have the tax figured so I'm going to send the check with the extension and have my Aunt enter the numbers into her software (She does taxes for a living).
