I had the weirdest dream about John Kerry last night...
Or rather early this morning.

It was really unusual, but then most of my dreams are, with an over-active imagination...

Anyway, so this one point there's a giant olympic-sized swimming pool (in a re-occuring dream location for me) and John Kerry is giving a speech by the pool, then all the sudden he jumps in. Everyone is expecting for him to come up and when he doesn't, I decide to jump in a rescue him. I had to swim him to safety in the shallow end, he got there and stood up. Then I noticed that Howard Dean and Wesley Clark were also in the shallow end, bobbing (seriously, they were bobbing around like bouys) back and forth. They all had this stupid ass grin on their faces. So out got out of the pool and the rest of my dream went on.

I'm not sure what it means, but damn it was odd. I could "speculate" on the meaning, but I really think this a good sign that I need to lay off politics for a while. It's starting to infect my subconscience...

2. Could it have been symbolic for...
The primary "process of elimination", perhaps?:eyes:

And the rescue you did for Kerry may have been his Rolling Stone remark--the truth that saved him, maybe? Sometimes dreams have a lot more symbolism than we're immediately aware of!

B-)

3. CREEPY!
I never have political dreams. I think that would then be the final signal from the heavens for me to start backing off a little on political minutiae.

Oh yeah, and then did all your teeth or hair fall out, or were you naked?

6. I once had a dream I was Batman and I moved to post-apocalyptic Seattle...
to pursue Dark Angel. Jessica Alba is hot, but I think I just ate too much before I went to sleep.

I just added nothing of merit to this thread at all.

7. Did Kerry Go "Off the Deep End"
in your estimation with his f-word remark? Sometimes dreams involve a play on words like that.

In a political context, your dream reminds me of a cartoon I saw before the election in '68. Nixon had a large millstone around his neck labelled "Watergate" (which was just breaking) and yet was bobbing happily on the surface of the ocean. McGovern had a much smaller weight around his neck (labelled "Eagleton") and yet was being dragged unmercifully to the bottom.

Are you a Kerry supporter? Maybe it's a sign that you think Kerry's going down in the primaries and that you have to help somehow. That same analogy would mean that the two front-runners, Dean and Clark, would be floating while Kerry is sinking. And if you think Kerry is a more intelligent or serious candidate despite the polls, that would account for the stupid grins on the other candidates' faces as well as their being in the "shallow" end.

The final thing to do requires you to close your eyes and think of ANYTHING at all in the dream, however small, that reminds you of something in your real life. That may give a clue. For example, if Jann Wenner were nearby, that would be a link to the Rolling Stone interview.

8. Humm...no I'm not a Kerry supporter, never really was.
Actually, after his comments in rolling stone, where he said he was, in-effect, fine with the fact that he voted for IWR, I've come to support him less.

I am on the fence right now between Dean and Clark, but leaning more towards Dean.

Jann Wenner was nowhere to be found...sad to say. But, yeah, the whole thing was an odd, though a lot of people from High School, whom I haven't seen in 6 or 7 years showed up. I kept waking up, but each time I went back to sleep I continued the same dream thread...

Thanks for the help, I'm not sure what this mean yet...Perhaps a premonition about the last three candidates in the race? Hummm...then again, that's a pretty obvious statement.

9. I have a similar dream...
Except I'm Napoleon Bonaparte at Waterloo.
At 3pm I throw my bicorn hat in the air and send in the imperial guard in support of the gallant Marshal Ney...the Allies are routed and I return to Paris in a spaceship to universal acclaim.
I then voluntarily exile myself to Elba once again having demonstrated that Wellington and his rag tag collection of jobbers, has beens, and side show belly dancers, really were perfectly hopeless soldiers.
Oh wait...this is supposed to be about John Kerry.
: )
