What's the strangest thing on TV or a movie that's ever made you cry?
I think I'm once again admitting the level of my geekishness, but I cried watching the last episode of Star Trek: the Next Generation.

1. I think the worst is when COMMERCIALS make me cry
I HATE that!

The Mercedes commercial of the car in the car crusher did it to me every time!

2. The last episode of Cheers made me cry.
In the last scene, someone knocks at the door of Cheers and Sam quietly says, "We're closed." Don't know why but I still can't watch that episode without tearing up a little.

3. It wasn't too strange, I guess
but when Dr. Green dies on ER and they close with the Izzie version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

My son looks just like the actor who played him and it was very difficult to watch. I mean, they are almost identical, and I see my son in green scrubs a lot. He hears about it at the hospital a lot.

I never forgave ER and never watched it again.

5. The trailer for a movie called "Summer of the Monkey,"
which looked pretty dumb, but had this gorgeously manipulative orchestral music swelling in the background. Music like that gets me every time.

7. "Creature Comforts" the claymation show on BBC.
It was a pig talking about how much he loved his dad.

8. The throne rom scene
at the end of Star Wars. It always triggers tears.

My son used that music at the recessional at his wedding. I think the music made me more teary than the wedding. :-)
