Another DUer reported that their elderly parents (or maybe it was in-laws) had been dumped in New Orleans by their cruise ship just a day or two before Katrina. In the slew of posts that followed during those tumultous days and weeks after the flooding of NO, I never heard whether this elderly couple were recovered safely.

Anybody remember or know?

27. Many Moons Ago, I Suggested A DU Phone Tree...

It was based on the notion that if the DU servers went down, or something far worse, we would all have some folks we could get in contact with so we could compare notes and see if others had any idea what might be happening. Course the phones would still have to work, LOL!

Anywho... the idea never really went anywhere, but because I've been to several DU Gatherings out here in California, I've got a DU member or two in my phone book just for such an instance.

It does make me feel better, that if something weird or fishy were to happen with DU, i'd be able to lean on a couple of my fellow DU buds.

It looks like she got banned? Her name's not even on the list of registered users anymore.

I know she got very involved in the Camp Crawford event last summer and then Katrina. I also know she was having marriage problems. Love to know if anyone else knows what happened to her?
