What kind of computer do you have, laptop or desktop.
Everybody I know has at least one laptop, or no desktop at all.

I think laptops are winning, with WiFi.

I will never go back to a desktop again.

2. I don't have a laptop :(
...never saw the use for one I guess its because they are expensive, easy to misplace, the heat from the battery kills sperm and you cant see the screen outdoors :D

4. 52 desktops, chained together to monitor spacial emissions
to warn me if aliens are coming (how did I miss that spying thing, I never, tut tut tut). And the desktops are chained with really heavy plated small link chain too.

I don't know how many are running anymore, no I don't no no, the refractor dish is a little dented from the last Plumonian flyby.:freak:

I have the bunker built and lined with beryllium to keep them from sensing me. I just got a new Gandor phaser and hope to get an updated Isotron 22 particle disruptor too.

5. Desktop (with an older WiFi laptop)
Edited on Mon May-22-06 11:29 PM by Nevernose
I usually use the desktop. I'm more comfortable and more reliable working in my "other office," the extra bedroom, than I would be if I were on the couch with a TV available. Now that I think about it, there IS a TV in here, but I'm not even sure if it works.

My daughter uses one of my older computers, though, since she can use it in her bedroom or watching cartoons or whatever in the living room. It's a laptop running Windows ME, and is used either for checking my email really early in the morning or, apparently, for endless visits to Greenday.com.

If I could afford a new laptop and a new desktop, I would definitely do both. The laptop for sheer power (I need to play Oblivion!), and the laptop to more conveniently run astronomy programs when I'm out in the desert at three in the morning saying "Where the Hell is that stupid, stupid galaxy supposed to be again?" Other than that, where am I supposed to use the laptop? Work? Got two commuters there already. The park? Why the hell would I go to the park if I wanted to use a computer? The coffee shop? I went there to drink coffee and talk to people, not browse the news, which I'd be doing with a newspaper anyway.

I am taking a summer roadtrip as usual, though, and I will probably have the laptop with me for use in hotels. Not so much to check email or news or what-have-you, but to check on weather and road conditions, and information on various National Parks.
