How do you sign a nasty letter?
I've written a nasty letter to my daughter's teacher. I don't know if I'll send it, but it made me feel a little better to put on paper how inept, disrespectful to her students, and unprofessional this teacher is.

What kind of closing do you use for a nasty letter?

I guess "Sincerely" works. It is, after all, how I "sincerely" feel... but it doesn't seem quite right.

I would like to sign it "Fuck You," but I exercised some restraint.

Anybody want to weigh in?

2. On the rare occasions when I've had to send an angry letter,
I always sign simply my name. No closing, no salutation. It's businesslike and cool without being crude or vulgar.

8. I write a good angry letter.
But as I said, I may not even send it. I'm going to show it to my daughter & her mother & see what they think.

I was thinking of leaving off the closing, as Aristus suggested.

7. After a real fuck-all, shit-kicker of a letter...
I think it's fun to sign off with "Warmest Regards," "Yours in Christ," or something equally non sequiter. ... but that's just me.

13. "Regards" or "best" seem to work for me.
I'll use "best" for bland correspondence -- but "regards" is almost always reserved for bitching.

15. "You may reach me at"
Phone or email whatever your preference is. It sounds snotty. Then at the bottom at cc to principle, or whoever is above this miscreant. Maybe even to the local school board. Depends on how nasty you're really feeling. You can even send a copy to your local Rep.

26. I don't add any pleasantries to the end of cranky missive.
I just end it on my final point and put my name. i.e.,

"I expect your immediate attention to this matter."
