Really? People can't be this stupid...
Over at LiveJournal, someone posted a "Which Candidate are you voting for" for CA Governor poll...and asked why...

Some idiot said Ah-nold and then:

Because we don't need tax and spend democrats to scare away big business and rich families and put the last nail in the coffin; turning california into a dead social welfare state.

Red State in 2008!

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Anyone want to help me craft a response?

"Are you telling me we need Enron Republicans to cheat workers out of pensions, collapse the utilitiies, and sacracfice the lives of brave men and women for their personal gain?"

I don't know. Maybe it's a start.

2. Not even worth a response
sorry, there are 29% of this country that still believes in the republican agenda. Arguing with them is about as productive as arguing with the damn birds that keep crapping all over my car.

4. Fair point...
I know it's futile for that person, but my response would be visible to the whole group. I can't just let a comment like that stand.

6. Well yes...
but I don't want others to read it and be like "oooh...hmmm...". I want to dispel the comment for others readers, not so much to convince this guy he's a moran.

11. Even Diebold
needs numbers that are somewhat close. Bush and Ah-nold have approval ratings around 25%.

12. Tell them to stop listening to assclowns like Limbaugh and Hannity
Works every time someone tries to bring it down to a worship of money.

Oh, also tell them fuck big business. And there's already too many rich people living in California.

14. ummm, at this rate, California will end up a welfare state unless they
turn their economy around. Corporate America, which Ahnold supports so much, leads to higher and higher welfare rates. *If* that is their main concern, then flip it around on them, point it out.

17. Update:
Edited on Tue May-30-06 12:42 PM by huskerlaw
I responded with a little comparison between Clinton's surplus and Bush's deficit.

He blamed Clenis (of course), saying that of course you can have a surplus if you never "fix the leaky roof" and you "ignore the vicious dog" :wtf:

And then, in typical Republican fashion, he resorted to childish stereotypical putdowns: "I guess that as a lawyer you don't have to deal in reality, but I can't be bothered to use the small words, big letters and crayon it would take to explain this."

I never told him I was a lawyer so apparently he took quite a bit of time scouring my userinfo, which does say that I went to law school.

But it was cute of him to admit that he writes with crayons.
