Watching the B-17 special on PBS

My father's best friend and neighbor piloted some 60+ missions over Europe during WWII.

There are about a dozen still flying and one of them usually visits my town each year. I have yet to take a ride as I figure WWII vets should get first dibs. I will take my ride someday.

12,700 B-17's produced, 4,754 lost in combat.

8. 'Sentimental Journey'
I've been inside her, moments after she made a low-level pass over Salinas (Calif.) Airport. Good lord, what a glorious sight!

I've been in "Picadilly Lilly" and "Nine-O-Nine" twice — most recently just two weeks ago.

Bagged me a Dora-9.

3. My B-17 pilot neighbor in the mountains had his house torched.
He was a cool 84 year old dude! The meth addicts torched his house in February. I sold my mountain house in March .. a jump ahead of the meth addicts and the federal lurkers. Some newbie DUers doubted my story, then. Stupid fucks, they.

:hi:

I didn't know you sold your mountain house! Where are you living nowadays?

6. I'm down in the 100 year old prairie cottage in Greenville, SC.
Restoring it, lovingly. Full time job, acting as the general contractor.

5. I remember reading about the "real estate" guys.

But then I never found out what happened after that. What happened? You are okay, I take it?

7. They were definitely not real real-estate "lookers."

Their agent and I became real close. She agreed with me. Federal cops. Period. But so much shit came down on my head from a group of newbie DUers that I'd rather not go into any more detail. It can get real nasty here, my friend.

Mac

On edit: Never really answered your question. I sold the mountain house and completed the move out on my birthday, March 30. It was a sad day and I'm still extremely depressed from the whole pile of shit. My B/P on 3/30 (with all the meds) was 175/110.
