I'm having a little trouble grieving about it. I have to get someone with a backhoe to bury him for us.

The trouble having pets is that they have shorter lives than you do. He was a 20 yr old registered grey Arabian. His name was Primo Tiempo. Maybe I should speak English. His barn name was Rags.

1. Oh man, that stinks
I know the day will come when we have to do the same for Dallas (our quarterhorse).

Colic sucks.

RIP Primo Tiempo!

2. I know how that goes
had a few horses of mine die when I was younger. That's tough. You have my condolences and I'll send some good thoughts and prayers your way. :)

3. I'm so sorry, Mountainman!
It's not easy to lose a pet. Although I've never had a horse, I think they are beautiful creatures. I've lost many pets over my lifetime, and it has hurt each and every time.

9. My dear Mountainman.....
Oh, your loss touches me deeply.....

Horses are such beautiful, magnificent animals......

You were there to help him die more easily than he would have otherwise...

My deepest condolances.....

10. Oh Mountainman! I am so sorry to hear about Rags.
  I lost a beautiful TB gelding to colic. It was devastating. :(

Primo Tiempo (great name!) must have been beautiful! Arabians are the most elegant of equines.

Get the backhoe ordered and take care of your other horses while you wait. You can hold a private service for Rags during the burial. You can braid part of his mane and clip it off to remember him by. That's what my equestrian friends do and it is comforting.

 RIP Primo Tiempo

12. So sorry MountainMan. Losing a beloved furfriend is heartbreaking. There
is no way to comfort them with words. It is all done through our hearts.
