1. PBS had a good special on Tank Man.
They were talking to young men and women in China, due to censorship, many did not know about this incident.

2. Still denying everything... frightening to see how easy it is to
alter people's perceptions of history and reality.

6. Yes, they were saying that the footage was only briefly showed on the news
They propagandized it into the tank drivers showing restraint by not running over the kid.

Nobody knows where tank boy is, according to the documentary.

Here is the link.

11. I do have to give kudos to that lead tank driver
because it would have been so easy to have run him down.
It's what they did in Israel.
I wonder if the tank driver got shot, jailed or reprimanded.

12. Yes, and the street was wide enough that
the second tank could have simply driven around the first.

5. I'll never forget that.
It was the same day Michael Chang, a young Chinese-American fellow, won Wimbledon and he paid tribute to the brave demonstrators at Tiananmen Square. Sad to say that was the first I heard of it, because I had been watching tennis for days.

Of course, your photo, not mine, will be remembered long after we're all gone.
