U.S. -Czech game (spoiler)
Edited on Mon Jun-12-06 03:03 PM by Benfea
*cry*

I had little hope of seeing the U.S. make it out of the first round this year, but I at least hoped they could beat or tie the Czechs.

Excuse me while I cry in my beer.

1. Oh my fucking God
Please do not post spoilers in the subject line.

How hard is this to understand?

2. Damn! The U.S. should have known they were gonna lose,
then gone into the Czechs locker-room beforehand with some guns and launched a preemptive strike against their team. We have to keep our national athletic supremacy secure. The world would have thanked us for saving them from Czech football domination.

And in case you didn't catch it, that was :sarcasm:

B-)

4. Hey!
I like watching the U.S. play international soccer because in that we are the underdogs, y'know?

I will never ever ever ever cheer for the basketball "Dream Team" at the Olympics, but I cheer on the U.S. soccer squad any time I can.

5. I'm wanting the U.S. to do well
...because they really are underdogs when it comes to football/soccer. The World Cup is a spectacular event, and I think U.S. people would enjoy it - especially if their team have a good run as in 2002.

6. I am not surprised.
It is also frustrating to see the USA always choke whenever we play in Europe. Maybe after Bruce Arena is gone we ought to get a top notch European coach like Sven Goran Ericsson to get us to do better with the teams from "The Continent". My prediction for Saturday's game against Italy will be Italy 4 USA 0 and i expect the USA to tie with Ghana.

7. Tie with Ghana???
You must be joking. If they play like they played today, and Ghana plays like they played today, it will be Ghana 3 0 USA. And that's being generous.
