Okay. No sexist verbiage here. Sock it to me.

I swear to God, you will hook up there. Guaranteed. Bet me money. Log off, head over to your nearest store, find some women, and get to flirting. Or "meaningful conversation" that is really a thinly veiled mating dance, whichever description you prefer. Do you know how many happy couplings I have seen begin to blossom in my local Borders?? Well, neither do I, so multitudinous have they been! GO! NOW!!

4. Okay, but if you're going to listen to BlueIris
meeting a woman is not synonymous with staring at her legs. You have to talk to them. ;)

34. Sorry
I supposed I phrased that entire post poorly.

It seems there are a whole bunch of people that have already taken BlueIris' advice, and they show up at the local Borders on Sunday mornings.

Of course, there are more obvious things I'd probably find to stare at. :spray:

6. Agreed. Bookstores
Approach women where they don't feel like it's a pickup place. Like a bookstore. That just seems friendly and normal. Possibly the grocery store - if you're careful, not too needy or personal. Or at any liberal gathering -- environmental, animal rights, etc.
Leave women at the gym alone.

13. Borders is a bookstore. I got news for ya. In Canada they sell toilet..
Edited on Fri Jun-16-06 09:16 PM by gbrooks
paper at London Drugs, gardening supplies at Canadian Tire,
children's clothing at Capital Iron and the Army and Navy.

If you want to pick up women at a bookstorego to a bookstore,
avoid stores with aisle end specials. BTW if you find Ayn Rand
in the philosophy section run for the exit. (it's your only hope)

On edit. We had a book chain store in Canada called 'Chapters'
It's business plan was classic Starbuck's marketing.

They would open up across the street from a small bookstore
and offer discounts on best sellers that the small
stores couldn't match.

The small stores depended on BS'ers (pardon the pun)in order
to pay for prompt delivery on obscure titles.

This predatory practice has led to the bankruptcy of all
the small specialty bookstores in Vancouver. The joke is
that Chapters was run by box store marketing bean counters.

The Vancouver and Canadian public were not impressed.

Last I heard two years ago Chapters is in bankruptcy limbo
the only reason they exist is that the banks that were stupid
enough to lend them money can't let them die.

BTW if you want some obscure titles in first or second edition
look up MacLeod's Books in Vancouver. I picked up some gems there
in the last ten years in mint condition that are out of print like
forever.

http://www.abebooks.com/home/macleods/

Also some of the best bookstores I've visited are in Seattle's
U district.

23. Thanks for that condescending lecture there.
It's so...sad that you assumed I needed to read your rambling diatribe of incoherence to understand that there are other places to purchase books in this hemisphere. I picked the name of a random chain bookstore that most people might recognize to make a point...which was clearly lost on you. You don't go out a lot, do you?

27. Sorry if I came off as condescending. No offense intented........

The point I was trying to make is that box
bookstores are flooding the market with
consumer junk. Making fun of Borders was not
meant to be a reflection on you.

5. Get a puppy
A CUTE puppy for god's sake. Take it to a popular park. Walk it around.
The women will flock to you. A few will be a little young, so watch it.

Some women are heavier than they look, so make sure you're in top form before picking them up. Use proper lifting technique--Oh, and ask permission first!

39. No, don't get a puppy
just to pick up women. Adopting a dog is a serious commitment that you take on only when you really want a dog and are ready to devote 15 years of your life to loving and taking care of it.

Now if you already HAVE a dog, all is fair in love. :)

Well, if they are willling, around the waist is good..but the fireman's carry is a little difficult. I would suggest the "piggyback" ride is best. That way, nothing indecent gets touched. By the way,
super gluing handles on them won't work, hurts like hell to take them off.

29. I don't see why not. Most of my friends are women...
And, intellectually and spiritually, I have more in common with women. Those are the aspects in life worth developing and nourishing.

(This is not transsexualism where I wish to become a woman. I like my kielbasa and tater tots just as they are...)
