Sick. The person who claimed I was trying to cozy up w/ the supervisor
is doing the same thing herself.

x(

I wondered why he was so distant regarding me, but thanks to yesterday...

1. I am going to give some hypocritical advice
Ignore those ****s (your hostile coworkers) and do your job. They are the ones that are immature and have a problem.

2. Can't. My job now require us all to work with them.

Consolidation and crosstraining so they can kick us out. Their excuses are used so much to justify "crosstraining" when commonsense dictates that for everyone to know everything is impossible.

We all have our areas of expertise and strong points. We're all merely treated as objects. Disposable ones. Nothing more. We've had 3 people leave already. More will undoubtedly follow. People are realizing it's better to talk out than to give them everything neatly written down on paper before leaving. It's not just brain drain. Nobody wants to assist in their own career-termination. And I don't blame them at all.

3. Hypnotoad... what kind of workplace is this?
I've been in a similar situation... it sounds rather toxic.

6. Toxic indeed...
And it's funny to see who is sucking up to whom these days.

I know my time is limited, but they will be at a loss without me. That much I do know.

And the longer I stay means the longer I help them.

And the more they turn down my requests for training despite complying with every one of their statements.

No, I'm not playing their game.

I will be walkout #4 very shortly. I do not wish to dip into my retirement, but there are those cases where the greater good must prevail. I've given them too much of my time and my life, only to be treated like flushable feces.

4. That environment probably increases hostility
If they all think that they might be competing against you (and other employees) for fewer jobs in the future. I can see why some people might be more inclined to be back stabbing and manipulative. Their strategy is to make themselves look good and you (and other employees) look bad. It is too bad that management set up the situation that increases the incidence of this behavior.
Please don't give up looking for another position and try to hang in there during your search even though these coworkers make it difficult.

5. And when management has nary a clue on what they are managing
never mind who they are managing...

Toxic is hardly too crass an understandment.

The sad part is, those tripping the others up are trying to sound knowledgeable. But in turn are only cheating themselves. But that is what they want to do. And if they're good at it, that's what they're going to do. Not that they don't have good qualities, but - yeah - it's just an act. And I'm about to bow out.

7. Republican strategy method #6
Accuse your opponents of doing exactly what you are doing yourself.

And yes it is maddening. :grr:
