Any other 50-ish guys have hot flashes?
I've been having them for a couple weeks. Hot skin with what feels like little pins and needles sticking me.

Is this part of male menopause?

(Note that I'm not asking for advice. Just feedback.)

1. If it happens only when you think about SeattleGirl and Mutley and

...Heidi, then don't worry about it. They have that effect on lots of guys.

10. My dear bridgit!
My husband had hot flashes when he started taking niacin for his cholesterol....

His doctor advised him to take some baby ASA with each dose, and that took care of the hot flashes!

:hi:

24. well it's definitely the niacin, did you know they have non flush kinds
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 04:49 PM by pitohui
ask at your vitamin store, it is not a comment on your age, it can happen to anyone at any age who takes niacin, it is a comment on the formulation of the niacin

apparently some like the sensation, pearson and shaw recommended couples try a dose of niacin before sex but i don't esp. recommend it

Actually I used to get them while taking certain medications...I hated waking

23. I've had hotflashes since I was 22
That's 16 years now. It's a side effect of some of my health/disability issues. Meds only make it worse.
