Last weekend I went to visit my mom. We went to the Lake of Constance (Bodensee in German), which is in South Germany and also the border to Switzerland and Austria in that part og Germany. We made a boatstour on a smaller part of the lake. Those are some of the pics I and my mom's bf took. Enjoy!!

And it IS a reason to get more and more excited!!!!

I like the pic with my mom together. I know exactly what I will look like in - say - 25 years (we are apart exactly 25 years)

:loveya: I look mostly like my dad ... except that he neglected to pass his great legs and full head of hair on to me. :cry: And somehow, I forgot to grow -- I'm the smallest in the entire family, including my kids. :shrug:

What a great weekend, and you captured so much of the charm and character of the area. I think it is nice they have made a statue of their powerful historic prostitute. Americans tend to cover up that sort of thing. Great to see you! :hug:

11. Believe me, there were fights over it

the city was against the statue. But because the area where the Imperia stands belongs to the German train company and they allowed it the city wasn't able to prevent it. And now it is a magnet for the tourism.

I remember when I lived at the Lake I worked in a bookstore in Kostanz. An American lady came to the store and wanted to buy a postcard with the Imperia on it. She asked me who that was, if it was a queen or whatever. "No, it was a prostitute" "Oh ...." She didn't buy the postcard :rofl:

Yes, just a weekend trip. The Lake is about 1 1/2 hours away from where my mom lives.

keeping an eye on the parents. Dad is back from 4 days in the hospital for swollen legs from fluid build-up. Mom was afraid that he could have a heart attack and called 911. Maybe he'll start taking care of himself--I hope.
