Movie trivia! Need some help...
I was talking to a guy at work, and I remembered what I thought was a video store joke, then I thought it was from Friends, then realized it was a Cary Grant line. Goes like this, he's at a party, and this matronly woman says, "I've just seen the most delightful play, it was called, let me see, it was Something of a Something." Cary: "Oh yes, yes, I've seen that, delightful. Oh wait, no that wasn't it, this one was just called "Something"."

I thought it was one of his films w/Hitchcock, but can't find the quote in imdb. A movie-buff friend swears it was not from North by Northwest, Notorious, To Catch a Thief or Philadephia Story.

Does this ring a bell? Please help, lives depend on it :+

1. No idea, a few cursory searches on IMDB & Google don't provide an answer,
however, I figured I'd kick this in case the current shift has an idea.

2. Here's a suggestion.
I haven't watched Arsenic and Old Lace lately, but Cary Grant does play a dramatic critic in that. Do check IMDB's listing of quotations for that particular movie.

Also, it's possible you need to get out of Hitchcock territory and check out some of the other comedies Grant made.

Good luck!

3. Are you talking about Hitchcock's "Rope"?
Where an old woman talks about a movie starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman (Notorious/Hitchcock movie) and says something like..." It was something of a something...or maybe just something...
