I saw the Dixie Chicks last night - what a great concert

First, for a band that is suppose to not be doing too good because of the Controversy, Wachovia Center in Philly was pretty much packed to the rafters.

The concert was great and we had seats in the club boxes so we had one of the rooms that holds about 100 people and has it's on bar, bathroom and lounge area (I swear, all future concerts at the Wach I'm going for the club box seats).

I wasn't sure what I would think of the concert because to be honest, I haven't really listened to much of their music before this most recent album (just not a country fan) but I still enjoyed all of their music and especially when they did their bluegrass jam.

So for all the distractors that say the Dixie Chicks are on the way down, I beg to differ. Perhaps they aren't selling out well in their old mainstay regions in the heart of country music, but in the big cities the Chicks are doing fine!

2. It was great other than the screamer girls in our section

I mean, I swore the way these girls screamed I was at a fricking Justin Timberlake concert on something. I think they were just screaming for the sake of hearing their voices.

But the nice thing about club box seating is they each have their own security person. After the Chicks sang one of their somber love songs and these girls kept screaming, one of the ladies sitting in our row complained and security moved the screamers out to general admission
