All in all, a pretty good year for Rock n Roll. Some might see this as evidence that progress is not inevitable.

1) Don't be Cruel/Aint Nuthin but a Houndog...The King

2) Roll over Beethoven...Chuck Berry

3) In the Still of the Night...Five Satins

4) Long Tall Sally...Little Richard

5) Blueberry Hill..Fats Domino

6) Blue Suede Shoes...Carl Perkins

7) Why do Fools Fall in Love...Frankie Lyman

8) BeeBobaLula...Gene Vincent

9) I Walk the Line...Johnny Cash

10) Honky Tonk...Bill Doggett

1. I remember them all very well.
Also, Bill Haley and the Comets was one of the first rock and roll groups. His first big hit was Rock Around The Clock.

2. I saw the movie
It was part of a double feature with Blackboard Jungle. I think that was 1955.

3. Blackboard Jungle, I remember that movie well.
In those years, it was classified as X-rated because they used curse words. I think that was one of the first movies to use the "F" word.
