More airline threads! Every fly "People Express" or "Laker"?

When I was in high-school in Southern Ontario, the GREATEST time I ever had was when I could scrape together a hundred bucks or so, and take a People Express flight from Buffalo to NYC via Newark. I think the flight itself was something nuts like $29 each way. My great-aunt had an apartment vacant and for sale on Long Island for two straight years (she was in an extended care facility at the time), so it was free digs for myself and any friends I had who were up for the trips.

Imagine 'weekending in Manhattan" at age 16! We were GODS!

1. yes, took People Express from Newark (a nightmare)

to Gatwick outside of London ... virtually free, and frill-free ... it was like a cattle car ... a 9th grade class with a substitute teacher ... one attendant finally had enough with one person, and with a raised voice said: PLEASE TAKE YOUR SEAT ...
