ARGH! I can't drink!!!
I'm currently taking a medication that doesn't permit me to drink. It's been two weeks, and I'm staring heavily at a bottle of liqueur in my fridge. And... I... can't... touch it!!!

:argh:

1. Arg...that would drive me crazy.
Actually, I don't think I'm supposed to drink with my Adderall because of the uppers/downers thing, but I do anyway. I'm alive.

7. Apparently if I drink I risk liver damage.
But damn does that liqueur look good.

8. Well, there is only a little bit left.
Although it was a gift for my graduation in May. (sigh) I don't know. Maybe the dog will want it?

5. What medication is it?
Also, is it just a "do not operate machinery" dizziness restriction? (I've got a notice like that on my regular meds, but when it's Martini Time, it's Martini Time)...

6. You must take that liqueur out to the woods.
put it in a clearing. Leave it there. When you are healed of your illness, return to that spot. If you find the liqueur, it was destined to be yours. If it has been found and drunk by the young scavengers of the woods, it rightfully belonged to them.

10. Yes... beneath the aspen trees...
beside the great river. There I shall nestle it between earth and sky. There it shall wait for me.

There...

11. Not a good idea to do so. When I started meds.....
I didn't drink, then got more comfortable and more daring. Long story short I collapsed into a desk and got a concussion. My hip still hurts.

19. BTW know how long you'll be on them for?
I was pissed at the no drinking thing at first... then I lost 35 pounds and my life seemed to improve in all directions.

20. Indefinitely.
:( And yes, m'dear, I've dropped about 7 lbs. since starting on them. And I've been biking because of increased energy. I'm feeling pretty fucking good at the moment. :D But I sure wish I could have a drink.

27. I just don't drink a like I used to - I.E. not a WHOLE bottle of Whiskey
I used to be able to drink an entire bottle of Irish Whiskey straight in a night. Now... a couple ounces and I'm in a happy place.

22. For one thing you quit looking like a deranged maniac
As evidence I point to picture 12 of 17 in your photobucket account. Now compare to the relative sanity in picture 7. BTW, is that your sister in pic 11? :-)

I'll tell ya though... my deranged maniac pic is awesome. I looked like that ALL THE TIME back then and that one is mild. The real downer is I can no longer wear my shirt that reads, "Beer fuelled Maniac"
Oh well.
I was something of a legend. All the time people say, "I miss drunk jer" inlcuding the groom's father at a recent wedding. He actually set out to get me drunk... and succeeded... I ended up pole dancing.
