First kiss with your SO: Was it magic?
Mine was. We had met at a DU gathering and parted with a hug (but everyone hugged, so it wasn't a big deal).

After that, we spent months in different states e-mailing, IMing and talking on the phone. Finally, our schedules converged and I went to see his band play. I can't tell you how nervous I was.

When I walked into the room, he walked up to me, cradled my head in his hand and kissed me so sweetly and wonderfully it erased every doubt.

My life has never been the same since that Feb. 14 -- and I couldn't be happier about it.

So tell me about your first kiss with your partner.

1. My dear prolesunited!
What a lovely story!

I wish my first kiss with my SO had been that great!

I actually remember it as being pretty awful.....

He was quite nervous.......and I was just sitting there waiting for what I knew was coming.....

And then he leaned over to do it......

Let's just say I was not favorably impressed, and I resolved there and then to teach him how to kiss me better.......

Which I did.........and he learned very well!

5. Yup
I really hadn't noticed him before meeting, though, as he had joined later than I did and posted mostly in the Lounge and I spent my time in LBN and GD.

6. It was magic--for him, but not for me.
Edited on Mon Oct-02-06 11:13 PM by notmyprez
Sounds strange, but true. It was the first night I met him, after cybermeeting on an online dating site. We hit it off very well, and when he later kissed me goodnight, he slipped me the tongue. The reason it wasn't magic for me was that I was a bit uncomfortable with him doing that on the first night we met. Next time we talked, he was telling me how the kiss affected him and that he could feel my passion in it. I was perplexed at first, but then I realized something: when he slipped me his tongue, I sucked on it (without even realizing it). That explained his reaction! LOL

7. I grabbed his hand as we walked to the subway...
...he bent down (he's 6'2'' and I'm 4'11'') and shyly gave me a kiss on the check :loveya:

8. I was kissing her and , suddenly, there was something strange in my mouth.
It turned out to be a green pea. I kissed her some more and, again, there was something in my mouth. It was a corn kernel.

I still don't get it.

9. It was amazing, best kiss I have ever had
We had gotten back from a movie, picked up some Dairy Queen, and then stopped to get some Boulevard Wheat beer...

Then we hung out in her room, and watched TV on her "bed". (at that time, she had no bed or furniture in her room, just a futon matress and a TV, except for her bookshelves). This was nothing new, we had dated twice before and both times we had sat on her matress and talked or watched TV.

But this night, we laid back and watched TV and talked for about an hour. Then, she pulled her head toward mine and kissed me.

I will never forget what it felt like as she leaned in and kissed me for the first time. Soft, warm, just incredible.

We are engaged and will be married next October

27. Butthead has always worked for me.
We went to the Museum of Science and Industry a few years ago, and they had a dogtag maker, so he even had them put that on his fake dogtags!

11. It was love at first sight for me... he was more reticent.
But, we met for the third time at a party & I drove him & a friend home & strategically dropped off friend, then when I arrived at his place, he gave me such a smoldering look & quickly laid one passionate kiss on my lips & then then exited the car...leaving me wanting more!

15. Actually, it was awkward.
We'd been talking on the phone for weeks, but when we first met, neither one of us knew what to do. I ended up giving her a quick peck that she, out of nervousness, barely responded to.

Now, the second kiss.... :loveya:

23. Yes. March 20, 1981.
The man still kisses beautifully.

We were at a party. We had been friends for several months. Another really cute boy walked by and I kinda checked him out. (What can I say? I love men.) My SO gave me a look that I will never forget, reached down, grabbed my face in his hands and kissed me. It was heaven.

We had been e-mailing for three months after meeting on an internet dating site. I knew everything about him, and he knew everything about me. We just had to see if everything was as perfect in real life as it was in cyberspace.

I went to pick him up from the airport, and he just bent down and laid one on me. It was like we had known each other our whole lives. Very comfortable and sweet. It was like I had come home. :loveya:

When we had to say goodbye at the airport a week later, we were bereft. IT was like someone had chopped off an appendage. And we didn't see each other again for 4 months!

31. There is something to be said
about starting out long distance. You really get to know a person first and well before it gets tangled up in the physical stuff. If you can do nothing but talk for hours, there's something worth exploring. And then when the IRL experience is just as good, it's incredible. As for the initial distance, if it's right, you'll find a way to work that out.

33. We did it, but MAN
that year was hard! 1600 miles is not close!

Chained to the computer, never wanting to move because I loved his e-mails so much! And then once we graduated to real life and phone calls, e-mail didn't seem to be enough anymore, and the phone bills started spiraling into the double and triple digits!

We keep ourselves grounded nowadays by remembering everything we went through to be together. It's what keeps us close.

Congrats on snagging that Blue Jay. He's a keeper!

28. Was it ever
I had just gotten off the train at Union Station in Toronto. I was walking into the station, looking for him....and I saw him standing there...holding a cardboard sign that said "Terry" on it. I broke into a grin, went over to him, embraced...and kissed. And it was magic. And it still is.

We had that day decided to move beyond just being friends, and it was horribly nervous and tense. It got much better after that, though.
