CONFESS!! Which Movies Have You Fallen Asleep At or Walked Out Of?
I fell asleep watching LA Confidential (missed the ending... and still haven't watched it even though I bought the DVD to find out how it ends)

I also fell asleep (briefly) during Titanic.

There was just way too much violence in that movie for me.

Not Field of Dreams, another one. Man, was that boring.

(BTW, the best part of LA Conf. was Guy Pearce. Me amy dad watched that movie together, and man, he's a real dish.

5. Never walked out - fallen asleep at:

Sadly, as much of a fan as I used to be about Star Wars, when I saw the hacked and slahed new versions that Lucas put out, I slept through them. Well, partially. I would fall asleep and then wake up in time to see the new stuff, then fall asleep again.

As an added note, I would just like to say how much I hate Lucas for screwing up the original by making Greedo fire first at Han.

I mean wtf? Han is like a foot away. How can he possibly miss? That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Han shot first because that's what his character would do. Lucas, you are such an idiot.

*ahem*

I almost walked out on "Screamers" - The last scream you hear, will be your own; fortunately we enjoyed MST3King it so we stayed.

13. 1992- Walked out of "Candyman"
Back when I was a nice, subserviant wife :eyes: , we went to an occasional horror movie and we went to this one. It one one of the first few times I left my daughter (born Feb 1992) to go out. There was a scene that alluded to a baby being murdered by this pyscho killer entity whatever. I had to get out of there and this is still brought up in my house even now at times as something that's "funny". I always think "funny", no it's not "funny", it's a normal reaction for a mom of a baby? :wtf:

Ugh. That is 90 minutes of my life I will never get back. I did fall asleep during AI, though.

If being dragged of a theater counts...my mom would take me to movies when I was little, and if anything was even remotely objectionable, she would yank me up by the arm and drag me out of the theater, grumbling auditably (disrupting all of the other people in the theater.) It was so humiliating!!! I was yanked out of Being There, Airplane! Yellow Beard. Meatballs. Ugh.

40. Heaven's Gate and The Deer Hunter
Cimino is in dire need of an editor. Those 10-minute long panning landscape long shots with no dialogue are soporific at best and utterly stupefying at worst.

The Deer Hunter had the core of a really good movie in there, if about 45 minutes of Cimino's self-indulgence were pared away (and if the Cascades looked anything like the Pennsylvania hills, which they do not!).

a 1971 flick with Oliver Reed is the only movie I've ever walked out of. It was just too brutal.

A year or so later I read the book it was based on, "The Devils of Loudin" by Aldous Huxley, and as Ken Russell pointed out when people complained about the film, he left out the really gruesome stuff.

63. I walked out of Batman Returns
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 07:00 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
when it was shown at the $1.00 movie theater in the little Oregon town where I was living. I just couldn't get into it.

I also walked out of an unbearable British version of Shakespeare's As You Like It. Arden Forest was replaced by a junkyard full of street people, and the only other seet was a hotel lobby. Add to this the fact that everyone's accents were really low class and impenetrable, and I usually don't have trouble with British accents.

If I'm tired enough, I'm capable of falling asleep during just about anything, including films that I like. However, I invariably wake up refreshed after about ten minutes.
