I expected better of you, Oprah Winfrey. Shame on you for promoting that hack.

Wasn't unleashing Dr. Phil on the world enough?

1. Didn't you get the memo?
No Oprah...and no Olive Garden allowed in the lounge!

2. I'm cutting your mike! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Falafel!
Seriously, I couldn't care less about Oprah's personal lifestyle, but promoting O'Reilly is truly vile. To be fair, there are strong women in Oprah's audience that are whipping his puny mind. But Oprah herself is kissing his pimply ass.

4. If his lips are moving, I'd guess...
he's playing spin doctor.

Dr. Phil, now (spin) Dr. Bill.

I can't say for certain, because I can't watch anything that blowhard is on. I made an exception for Letterman that time.

5. Letterman was incredibly poignant, in my opinion.
This episode really showed Oprah's ugly side to me.

She actually cut someone off by going to commercial, just as they were tearing into blowhard O'Reilly. Naturally Dr. Falafel had already insisted on some nonsensical justification for killing innocent people.

6. What happened was...
A couple of weeks ago she had an episode about truth in the media. After that episode, Bill O'Reilly complained that most of the people on the show were left-wing and only a token right-winger and a tiny scattering of right-wingers in the audience. He complained that it was unbalanced and took Oprah to task for it on his own show. So, Oprah invited him to come on her show to say what he wanted to say. I think she did it to try to promote an image of fairness and balance on her show - to try to show that she doesn't exclude any viewpoints.

8. True. She's even had Klan members on her show.
But I'm disappointed Oprah didn't take control of her show. O'Reilly was extremely disrespectful to her audience members.

10. Yes, but I wouldn't expect him to be respectful to anyone. A lot of things
he said didn't make sense to me. And that's the first time I ever heard "SP" (Secular Progressive) and he called everyone in Hollywood "SPs." I think he basically came across as an ass, so maybe Oprah accomplished what she wanted to by simply letting him do his thing... ??

11. SP?? That's a scientology term for "suppressive persons."
:bounce:

I think Oprah could have put him in his place, though. She doesn't let the KKK run amok without comment. I like Oprah, but she could have done better. (and what's next? Ann Coulter?)

13. I have been pretty disapponted in Oprah lately. She did a long series where
she and her friend Gayle drove across the country. Most of it was very interesting and enlightening. There was one segment, though, where they were driving through stockyards, and Oprah was driving while Gayle was feeling nauseated from the smell. Gayle was on the verge of vomiting. Oprah insisted they just keep driving to get past the stockyards. Oprah kept saying, "Don't throw up in the car. Don't throw up in the car." Oprah didn't want to ruin the clean smell of the car. Why the hell didn't she pull over and wait the 30 seconds it would have taken for Gayle to relieve her misery at the side of the road, then drive on? Oprah was more concerned about the car than she was concerned about her own supposed best friend. Oprah could have gone out the next day and bought 1,000 more of the same car in cash. Oprah has lost a lot of her humanity, it seems to me. I sent e-mail to Oprah castigating her mercilessly and with plenty of profanity over this incident. Of course no reply, so I have no idea whehter my message actually reached Oprah or not.

12. "You get a loofah!" "You get a loofah!" You get a loofah!" You get a loofah!"

That's what she should have done - a free loofah under everbody's chair.

14. That blond lady in the audience did a pretty good smackdown
of O'Liely.

And the dude defending the ACLU was good, too.

O'Liely is an asshole.
