Trump vs. O'Donnell: Next "Trial of the Century"?
I find Rosie difficult to listen to and even more difficult to look at, but I feel the same way about Trump. They're both loudmouth attention whores, so I can't stand either one. But it looks like Trump "won" this battle of celeb phonies due to Rosie unintentionally playing right into Trump's plan, giving yet more hype to what was a completely worthless news story about Miss USA. (As if the story weren't bad enough already, now we have to put up with more Rosie on TV. Ugh.)

"Fat Little Rosie" Vs. Trump In War Of Words: http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7005923690

Trump from an interview this morning: "I imagine it would be pretty easy to take her girlfriend away, considering how Rosie looks."

LOL

1. Say what you like about Rosies' looks & personality...
but her political views are great and she puts her
money where her mouth is. I'm thrilled that the
mainstream viewers get to see her and Joy Behar
stand up for the Dems on a daily basis.

2. I agree with her about half the time, from what I've heard when I'm
able to stand listening to her, and from what I've read.

5. Well...
She is pro gay rights, pro choice, not a racist, gives tons of
money to charity & and maxed out in her donations to Ned Lamont.
Plus she corrects the republican harpy, Elisabeth Hasslebeck, at every chance.
Thankful she does it in a nice way...she is winning her over
by showing her what a loving, functional lesbian union with
adopted children looks like.

Works for me!

11. Not a racist?
Some chinese interest groups might take issue with that assertion after her comments last week.

I may agree with her politics, but I think she is counterproductive with her shrieking.

20. isn't it wonderful that women like Rosie are called shriekers
But there is no equivalent for gasbags like Rush and O'Reilly?

I've gone back to watching the View because Rosie is there. It's become far more interesting now that they have a *shrieker* like Rosie, rahter than the celebrity-wannabee worshipers like Starr Jones.

16. I like both Rosie & Trump...
Rosie, for the reasons you stated, & Trump, because of comments he's made on "The Apprentice" that sounded like back-handed slaps to the boy king's way of doing business. Further, he has said recently that Bush isn't good for U.S. business.

It's just amazing that this is being covered. It really shows the shallow celebrity/gossip-driven society that some have made this country. That was part of my purpose in posting it. With all that's going on in the world, THIS getting any news coverage really says a lot.

All it would take is a locked room, two baseball bats, and a PPV time slot.

Proceeds to go to the winners favorite charity.

15. Thank you.
My money is on Rosie.

She's a "street fighter", so I figure one quick "low one" and it's over.

Plus, The Donald wouldn't want to get his hair mussed.

Might not get enough time for a commercial break, so that's why it needs to be a PPV event.

But, Jebus Crisco, if we're gotta have these made-up, meaningless, controversies, let's at least get some good use out of them.

18. IMO, it's all bogus. Both of them are playing off each other
in the tradition of "There's no such thing as bad publicity." Trump CRAVES attention anyway he can get it in order not to look irrelevent and ignored. Rosie needs an easy target.

Trump isn't going to sue if only for the fact if he did, Rosie's lawyers during the discovery would ask for his financial records stretching back to the 80s and Trump will be revealed to be not as rich as he claims. He uses other people's money to invest, not his and he did get started using his father's assets and connections. That would ruin the illusion of the self-made "billionaire" that Trump has created.

it is sort of funny watching an old man speaking like a ten-year-old on a playground, "neener, neener, neener, rosie is fatty and a loser!"

but rosie made the better point. the donald making moral judgments on other people is laughable.

40. Both of them could have their morals called into question.
But that depends upon an individual's perspective. I think they're both annoying, and to see them going off on each other's looks is odd: Trump's comb-over is awful and Rosie is a bloated slob.

They're both nothing but attention whores.

The world is worse off for trump having been born to wealth and squandering it all on the backs of the little people.

He is one of our clients and he keeps trying to pull "How 'bout I don't pay you, you should be happy to just list me as your client" bullshit. We always tell him to go take a hike and either pay up or we don't start the next project. Payment UPFRONT for this PROVEN deadbeat...

He is scum.

NEVER do business with this scumbag.

hypocritical pig! I'm not surprised at all, but Trump has hit a new all time low. Rosie was absolutely right to call Trump out on his publicity stunt.

If you're referring to him attacking her appearance, remember that she opened that door before he did when she physically mocked his looks.

24. I had the displeasure of watching Rosie go off on Trump
And it was so ridiculous that it became comical. Trump does himself no favors by responding to Rosie's tirade-- it was uncalled for and does not deserve attention. But I think they're both publicity whores and will try to keep this up as long as it's keeping them both in the news.

25. Very funny... saw clips on NBC "Today"
Edited on Thu Dec-21-06 11:37 AM by npincus
here's my take:

I don't agree with Trump's "second chance" decision. Bad business decision. I think it damages his "brand".

Went Rosie went off on him for that, I thought it was fair and funny. And she mocked his hair 'flip', that was funny, too. But I think the personal stuff, about how his father's money bailed his debt-ridden ass out, how he he used his father's money to get out of bankrupcy, etc.- was below the belt and unfair. How does she know that kind of personal shit? Is she his accountant?

Trump's only arsenal is to make fun of Rosie's looks and big yap. That's just stupid. We all know she's fat and has a big mouth- so what? If he picks on her sexuality, he will offend A LOT of people- he can't go there.

I think that Trump has way more to make fun of than does Rosie, but she went where she shouldn't have in her personal comments about Trump's family, etc. She really does have a big, big yap. And Trump is a thin-skinned juvenile.

This one will be fun to watch!

26. i understood the point she was making, though...
the dude gets WAY too much credit for being some financial whiz, when in fact he was BORN into wealth and raised in the real estate business. He's not very intelligent at all and sees everything in very black and white, simple, childish terms. The only difference between him and Bush is that he is more articulate. She was right on.

28. actually I give him a lot of credit
as a business whiz and marketing genius. Love him or hate him, he branded himself and is an iconic figure, not only in the US but around the world. He is not only successful in real estate, but has authored best-selling books, has clothing, fashion, watches and jewelry, fragrance lines, an "online university", bottled water, and famously, co-producer of his own TV show.

His father was a successful real estate developer- I was born and raised in Queens NY, where his family is from- but compared to The DOnald, his dad was a modest success. His father did accumulate some wealth, but no where near on the scale of his son. HIs dad as not a billionare.

There are all kinds of intelligence. I happen to know people I went to school with who were not academic achievers (some I considered "dumb") who had a talent in business and suceeded in their respective careers. Trump may not win on "Jeopardy", but he has a natural talent for business and marketing.

I probably would despise him as a person if I were to meet him, but I give him props. His name is all over the planet, not mine!
