What color are the walls in your house?
Yes yes..I know it's only a matter of moments before someone posts the "What color are the Balls on your Mouse" copycat, but play along anyway please?

I LOVE a LOT of color. I hate plain old white walls. My front room is an asparagus green (which actually runs into the kitchen).
The living room is painted a curry color, with putty trim which sounds odd for a living room but it goes beautfully with the tan furniture and the indigo blue we've chosen to offset it.
My office is this gorgeous shade of deep yellow that changes throughout the day. The woodwork in the office is mostly white, so it makes it nice and bright.
The dining room is a color I call Peacock Blue..If you think of Peacock feathers and that color between green and blue that is the color I'm talking about. We've used cherry red and black as accent colors in there.
The laundry room is apple green and coral.
The entry way is a lemon/lime color-think of the color of Mountain Dew.
I love my house. All the color makes me happy every time I look around. I know it isn't for everyone but I wouldn't change a thing.

and a dark purple color for the living room, and our hallway...our back rooms are a baby blue, or kitchen is half white, and half light green...our utility room is half baby blue, half white...our bedroom is 100% white...our bathroom is a light lavender color.

9. yep
the only colors we didn't change, when we got our house a couple years back, was the kitchen/livingroom/hallway...all the rest are new colors, all chosen by the wife...colors look okay to me...my only request was "no mustard yellow, or rust red!"....:D

3. some kind of green in the living room & kitchen,
grey in the hallways, blue in the bedrooms, and an unholy marriage of yellow and off-white stripes in the bathroom that make it look like the set of a horror movie.

4. I sympathize with you on the bathroom thing...
we're remodeling the upstairs bath so it's just primer colored, but it had the most god awful flowery wallpaper in there for the longest time.
Our downstairs bath is a metallic white..its a tiny 1/2 bath with no windows so we needed something bright in there.

5. White
:eyes:

Almost every fricking apartment in this city is white, with the exception of a few that are fairly untenable, so they are painted teal, raspberry, yellow, etc to make them look 'funky'.

Everyone else in my building has lived here for many years, so they've painted their suites the colours that they want. I don't know how long I'll be here, so I won't.

6. My husband and I rented a long time before we bought our first house..
I was so sick of white so when we bought our first house I said NO WHITE! But I wasn't brave enough to go for major color so I painted all the walls off-white :eyes:

When we bought the next house I got a little braver and did a lot of pastels.
THIS house I got bold.

I think it's smart though, leaving the walls alone..especially if you don't know how long you'll be there...no sense in just painting it all over again.

8. Now if only
all my unpacked boxes could be moved on to, and hide, those plain white walls, rather than the interestingly coloured carpet...:D
